History of GCSACC
In 1963, Bill Hood and Elvis (Al) Glaze had a vision to unite the Golf Course
Superintendents of Central California into a mutual group for the collection, preservation
and dissemination of scientific and practical knowledge, thereby effecting a more
efficient and economical maintenance of golf courses and improving and enhancing the
prestige and efficiency of its members. The articles of incorporation were submitted to
both Kern and San Luis Obispo and accepted in January of 1964
